The next morning we woke up on the boat - and we had arrived in Shetland!
We walked the 1/2 mile to our Airbnb, and Sarah met us to show us the little house we'd be staying in - she lives next door. Most guests come on the ferry, so she arranges her rentals to start first thing in the morning. We were very grateful! We settled in and gratefully took a rest.
The cottage does have an "obstructed" view of the harbor, which I used to keep tabs on what was going on.
Sometimes I'd go running down to the harbor to see the Northlink pass.
Here's a view at night - so pretty!
And this was an unusual sighting - the Leirna had been docked for repairs when we arrived - and here she is driving around the bend to resume her regular back and forth and back and forth to Bressay.
Being summer - sometimes there were cruise boats!
